Good News

Good news is rare to find, but God proclaimed good news to mankind thousands of years ago. Trouble is, the vast majority of mankind do not consider it good news. So true is this, that the message of Jesus is changed to fit what is wanted to be heard by most people who consider the person Jesus. This is a very strange matter indeed for "Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people."

Who in their right mind would object to good news? How many diseased individuals are there that would object to being made well? That's made well, folks, without medical insurance premiums, health taxes, hospital bills and doctors poking and prodding at every corner of our bodies.

But wait, the good news even gets better than this. The good news that Jesus and His disciples preached was that no-one has to be tortured in hell. Whether you believe in God, heaven and hell, or not, it must be admitted that anyone saying there is no need to be punished in hell is in fact delivering very good news. It is far better even than saying one is exempt from the United States tax code that take an estimated 40% of everyone's income. Who, among the wise, would not proclaim that being exempt from taxes would be good news indeed? So when Christianity declares a person can be exempt from being punished in hell for all eternity - what's the problem?

As you ponder the question, we shall unmask the news of the day.
