Heavy Burdens / Lifting A Finger
Published on Wednesday, July 14 at 3:24pm
What hypocrites!

They tie up heavy loads and put them on men's shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them. (Matthew 23:4)

Supreme Court Denies Privacy R-71 case because we, as voters have to face risks. Yet, yet, the Supreme Court request more security monies for themselves!

The Supreme Court is asking for more federal security funds, citing as one reason the “volume” of threats it receives.

I disagree with the ruling about making names public too.  But asking for more money for security simply doesn't make them hypocrites.  It would be hypocrisy if they took steps to make sure their names didn't have to be made public on petitions, or their friends' names maybe.  And none of it has anything to do with the scripture you cited.  My goodness.

This is the kind of thing that worries me about the religious right.  You don't know the definition of the simplest of words, and I really wonder how that happened.  This is a lovely blog, nicely put together and all.  You can't do that kind of thing if you're stupid.  The words aren't misspelled, and it's very nicely laid out.  But how can you not know what hypocrisy is?  And how in the world can you get so upset about such a tiny thing?
